Kevin Faulks

Councillor Kevin Faulks

Councillor Kevin Faulks represents Ingleby Barwick West Ward. I was first elected in May 2005 and I am proud to be a ward Councillor.

I am married to Pat and we have two children Sara and James. My working career was mostly spent at Redcar Blast Furnace having worked from 1977 in the Iron & Steelworks up until the closure in 2015. I am very proud of all my family with Pat still working at James Cook Hospital and Sara who is a support worker in a children's care home and who is a Leading volunteer for Ingleby Barwick Army Cadets Force. My son attended All Saints School and now works for an engineering company - Stockton Bearings. James, back in 2016, won the North-East and Yorkshire's Young Apprentice of the Year award.

As a family we love to volunteer for our local charities and two years ago I was honoured to be selected to do a full years Charity work for Remembering Rebecca raising over £4,000 pounds and we continue to fundraise for this fantastic, locally ran charity. Both myself and Pat also did three years volunteering at Daisy Chain.

I regularly meet residents and local groups with any issues or concerns that they may have. I live on the East Ward and do many street walkabouts with members of the public, town and parish Councillors along with officers of the council. Over the years I have reported hundreds of street lights not working but since the £14 million investment this has reduced very significantly.

Having had a passion for keeping our ward clean I am currently working alongside our newly formed Litter group and I meet and pick up litter on a regular basis. I continue to work tirelessly for my community and have come to know many people across my ward.

I am a member of Ingleby Barwick Golf Club, Bannatynes Health Club and Ingleby Barwick Facebook Litter Group. I love live music, football, and walking.

Ward surgeries are held at Bannatynes Health Club and Spa where members of the public can call in to discuss any issues that they may have, with or without an appointment and I can be contacted by email or phone.
