Six Fields

Rolling meadows, wetlands and woodland, just a few minutes' walk or cycle ride from Hartburn and Ropner Park.

Address: Darlington Road, Hartburn, Stockton-on-Tees, TS18 5BE

Six Fields is a great place to enjoy a walk in the countryside and spot all kinds of wildlife. The ponds that were recently created close to the beck are an excellent place to start and regularly attract species such as little egrets. Closer to the A66 is a large area of birch and willow plantation woodland where you might also catch a glimpse of deer that use the area for cover, coming out to feed on the meadows during the night.

Accessibility

A surfaced cycleway and footpath runs along the edge of the Six Fields, running from Hartburn in the north and Preston Park to the south. There are no toilets and or designated disabled parking.
