On Monday I was scheduled to attend the Bright Minds Big Futures (BMBF) AGM. At previous AGMs, BMBF have voted in their Big Committee for the coming year, a panel made up of heads of departments and a chair. The Big Committee set the annual goals or 'big objectives' for BMBF and spend the year working towards them.

However, this year BMBF agreed to move the AGM and Big Committee vote to February to align with the national British Youth Council's voting system, making it easier for BMBF to work nationally. I am looking forward to the new AGM in February and seeing the outcome of changes to BMBF's voting methods in the coming months.

Tuesday and Wednesday were quieter days, allowing me to catch up with important paperwork.

On Thursday, I attended a meeting about the Kit out the Borough along with Gillian Reader, Social Value Lead at MGL Group, Alex Wells, Marketing Manager at MGL Group, and a member of the MGL Demolition Team. MGL Demolition are the demolition contractor for the Castlegate Shopping Centre site and have contributed sports clothing and shoe donations to the Council's Kit out the Borough scheme.

If you would like to help, donations can be made by visiting Splash in Stockton, Billingham Forum, IB Leisure, Thornaby Pavilion and Thornaby Pool and dropping off kit in the labelled bins provided.

I then had my regular catch up with Mike Greene, Chief Executive, and Councillor Lisa Evans, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. Our catch ups are an important way for me to touch base with our chief executive and deputy leader, and keep informed about key Council actions.

This weekend, I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my family.
