I enjoyed a relaxing Bank Holiday Monday this week and hope you all did too.

On Tuesday myself and the rest of the Council's Cabinet met to discuss an exciting project happening here at the Council which I hope to talk a lot more about in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday it was the Tees Valley Leaders' Meeting. At this meeting Senior Leaders, Mayors and Chief Executives come together to discuss important issues affecting the Tees Valley Region.

This was followed immediately by a Cabinet briefing with our Corporate Management Team. These regular meetings keep us informed of everything happening at the Council, and allow us as Cabinet members with portfolios to give feedback from a residents point of view on what is happening.

Yesterday and today I'm catching up on paperwork and emails after a week of annual leave.

At the weekend I look forward to spending some time with my family. Middlesbrough have had a very shaky start to their 2023/24 campaign, and we're still looking for our first win. After signing two new players on loan yesterday I'm hoping the first win will come on Saturday as we host QPR at home.
