I started the week with a meeting with Cleveland Police Superintendent John Wrintmore, alongside other senior members of the Council. Our catch ups cover important topics such as Clear, Hold, Build, operations items and any issues raised by our members.

Clear, Hold, Build is a framework based on a three-part plan used to tackle and prevent organised crime within areas with high levels of crime and antisocial behaviour. The Council is working with Cleveland Police and other partners in the community to deliver interventions, counter-measures and contingency plans to improve and sustain a safer community.

Midweek I joined the Tees Valley Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) Advisory Group meeting. The group brings together colleagues from across the Tees Valley to improve working with employers across the area, aiming to take the region's economy forward and boost opportunities for future generations.

Yesterday, I attended Cabinet. A busy agenda includes updates on the Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP), the Inclusive Growth Strategy, and the Strategic Asset Management Plan.

Today is a quieter day, allowing me to catch up on some paperwork and other important items.

This weekend I'm looking forward to relaxing and spending time with my family. Middlesbrough suffered a heavy defeat against rivals Leeds mid-week. On Saturday we host Millwall at the Riverside and everyone will be hoping that we claw back three points to keep our promotion hopes on track.
