The Licensing Act 2003 Statement Of Licensing Policy January 2021

Nudity and Striptease

Not all establishments where there are displays of nudity will fall under the definition of "sexual entertainment venue".

Applicants for premises licences or club premises certificates under the Act must state in the application form whether any adult entertainment may be provided which may give rise to concerns in respect of children. If such entertainment is to be provided, the licensing authority will expect the applicant to have given particular consideration to the promotion of the licensing objectives in relation to the protection of children from harm and the prevention of crime and disorder.
