Supported internships - everything you need to know

Supported Internships support students with an Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to achieve sustainable employment or volunteering opportunities whilst giving them confidence and time to learn new skills. Students can: 

• revise and update workplace skills  
• seek and apply for opportunities  
• brush up English and maths 
• have support in placement if needed 
• access travel training if required  

The programme consists of: 

• two days at college - Monday and Wednesday 9am to 4pm  
• up to three days in the workplace
