Scattering of Cremated Remains

The Council has a duty to record in its Registers the details of all persons buried within the Borough Cemeteries.
Accordingly, the scattering of cremated remains on any grave space, or in any other part of the Borough Cemeteries, is strictly forbidden without the prior authorisation of the Cemeteries and Crematorium Unit Manager.
Those wishing to arrange a scattering should contact Bereavement Services' staff, who will advise as to the necessary application form and requisite fee.
