Dust off those fake Spock ears and beam down to our Kapow Sci-Fi Market in Stockton this Saturday (July 2).

A must for all sci-fi and fantasy fans, the specialist market will once again host unique traders selling TV and film related toys, action figures and collectables in the marquee on Stockton High Street from 9.30am to 3pm.

Along with the chance to snap up memorabilia, families and visitors of all ages can enjoy entertainment and refreshments as well as appearances from well-known characters, including:

  • Star Wars characters from North East Legion
  • The Daleks, Tardis and Tardis Console
  • Spinosaurus and Baby Dinosaurs
  • Mirabel, Elsa and Spider-Man
  • Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from Transformers
  • Workshops from A Work of Heart and Dinostar

The Council has joined forces with local business Who-Ray! to bring the free event back to the High Street.

Councillor Steve Nelson, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Health, Leisure and Culture, said: "Kapow is a hugely popular event and always pulls in a crowd!

"Whether you are a sci-fi fan or not, there is plenty to see and do so it's sure to be a memorable, fun day for families - and yet again we have a brilliant programme of performances to entertain people of all ages.

"It really is out of this world and we expect to have visitors coming from far and wide to browse the science fiction memorabilia and collectables, enjoy the activities and meet these iconic and much-loved characters."
