Activity Coordinator Network

Within care homes and extra care services, activities are an integral part of supporting a resident's wellbeing and health, with regular activities being essential for physical, social and mental wellbeing.

Activities should be meaningful and tailored to the needs and interests of individual residents, which ultimately enhances the lives of vulnerable residents and creates positive experiences and helps improve and enhance their emotional wellbeing and health.

The Activity Coordinator Network welcomes activity staff from care homes and extra care services to share good practice, ideas, information and resources, in order to develop their own knowledge, experience and skills.

As well as opportunities to hear from key speakers from Stockton-on-Tees' community and VCSE sector, activity coordinators have the opportunity to take part in peer led workshops, idea generation sessions and share their own resources with peers.

Meetings are held quarterly for two hours. If you would like to attend future meetings and be part of the mailing list, please email Julie Nisbet, Transformation Manager on Julie.Nisbet@stockton.gov.uk stating which care service you are from.
