Halcyon Centre

We have a needs-led approach and promote self-help to our clients to empower them to reach their full potential in our safe, clean and comfortable centre. We provide a range of activities that aim to improve our client's quality of life in a stimulating, supportive and friendly environment. We have links with both statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure we can offer the best package of care for all clients that supports carers and allows them to continue in their role.

We can accommodate up to 105 clients a day within 9 spacious activity rooms, a large dining room and kitchen. A hot, two course meal is prepared each day on site. The centre is surrounded by accessible, spacious grounds that includes: 

• a sensory garden
• wildlife garden
• an allotment area

The Kitwood Unit runs within the Halcyon Centre. We have a specialist team that supports clients severely affected by dementia type illnesses. We help clients engage in activities within the mainstream centre, or within their own group.  

Our committed and experienced team support our clients in daily living skills and to achieve their goals and aspirations whilst maintaining and promoting independence wherever possible.
