Air Quality

Air quality is high on Public Health England's agenda. Read the Public Health Matters blog for more information.

Air pollution is associated with a range of health conditions, in particular respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Air quality is everyone's responsibility and business. This is reflected in our approach. Our Public Health Team is part of a steering group which helps shape the work we do around air quality.

Better Health at Work Award

The Better Health at Work Award recognises the efforts of employers who address health issues within the workplace. The award scheme is free, flexible and open to all employers in the North East and Cumbria, regardless of size, location or type of business. Many organisations already promote healthy lifestyles and consider the health of their employees; this award will recognise this achievement and help organisations move forward in a structured way.

If you are interested in the Better Health at Work Award and think your workplace could benefit from getting involved, please contact the team on 01642 528474, email the Public Health Team at Public.HealthTeam@stockton.gov.uk or visit the Better Health at Work Award website.
