Stockton-on-Tees Markets

Market

Stockton-on-Tees' traditional markets have been bringing visitors to our town centres for over 700 years.

Stockton Market

Stockton's iconic market 'The Queen of the North' is held every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday on the High Street. It boasts over 100 independent stalls that sell a large range of quality goods and fresh produce.

It's positioned between the Shambles and the Town Hall and towards the north end of the High Street in the northern events space.

There's up to one hour's free parking at Wellington Square, £1.50 for three hours or £3 for 24 hours. You can also use the Council's town centre carparks

Taster Market Fridays

Taster Market Fridays is a new initiative to give young people with a low-cost option to start up a business across Stockton and Billingham Markets on a Friday. This includes:

  • free rent for four weeks
  • subsequent rent reduction to £15 a week
  • support from the Council's market's team

Taster Market Fridays will run alongside any future Young Traders Markets and are an ideal opportunity for colleges and universities, creating a simple and low-cost option to trade and showcase talent.
