There's also an opportunity to meet hotel management, the Learning and Skills team and find out more about the jobs on offer at a drop-in session this week.

The session takes place at the Rediscover shop in Stockton High Street (near the plinth) from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday (November 1).

Councillor Nigel Cooke, the Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Housing, said: "We've always said the hotel would create jobs for local people and having seen some great contract wins from local firms working on the hotel I'm delighted we've now reached the point where we're offering opportunities to work in the hotel itself.

"Meanwhile, the construction of the hotel continues at a pace and we're all looking forward to it opening early next year. A number of housekeeping roles will also be advertised before then."

The hotel site forms part of the mixed-use, £300million Northshore regeneration scheme, incorporating new offices, homes and leisure facilities near Stockton town centre.

The 56-acre scheme is a partnership between Muse Developments, Homes England and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
