Garden of Remembrance flower plaques
Terms and conditions
Our terms and conditions for Garden of Remembrance flower plaques are:
- all plaques are supplied in polished black granite
- all inscriptions must be approved by the Council
- prices include plaque, inscription, a lease period of 5 years, VAT, delivery and fixing
- applicants may select any unleased flower in the Gardens upon which to place their plaque
- delivery of a plaque will usually take place between 2 and 4 weeks from receipt of the approved design
- the 5 year lease will commence from the date upon which the plaque is fixed to the flower
- the Gardens of Remembrance will be maintained by the Council
- flowers, plants, photos, mementos or any other items may not be placed in the Gardens of Remembrance and will be removed without prior notice
- leaseholders will receive a renewal invitation, three months before the lease expiry date - if the lease is not renewed by the expiry date, the plaque will be removed and made available for collection from the Bereavement Services office for a period of 3 months, after which time it will be disposed of)
- Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council does not accept responsibility for damage to plaques caused by weather conditions, fair wear and tear or vandalism (cleaning should be carried out with a damp cloth only)
- please inform Bereavement Services of any change of address - if the person leasing the plaque should die, please inform Bereavement Services who can assist with the transfer of the lease to another family member
- the Council reserves the right to change or amend these terms and conditions as it deems fit

Memorial vaults and plaques
Terms and conditions
Our terms and conditions for memorial vaults and plaques are:
- all memorial vaults remain the property of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council
- vaults are supplied in polished grey granite with polished black granite plaques for inscription
- prices include vault, plaque, inscription, a lease period of 10 years, VAT, delivery and fixing
- the positioning and selection of a vault will be on a strict 'next in line' basis
- all inscriptions must be approved by the Council
- delivery of a plaque will typically take place between 2 and 3 weeks from receipt of the approved layout design
- the 10 year lease will commence from the date on which cremated remains are placed within the vault
- vases at the base of the vaults are provided for the placement of flowers (flowers, plants, photos, mementos or any other items may not be placed in the Memorial Gardens and will be removed without prior notice)
- the Memorial Gardens will be maintained by the Council
- leaseholders will receive a renewal invitation, 3 months before the lease expiry date (if the lease is not renewed by the expiry date, the cremated remains and plaque will be removed and made available for collection from the Bereavement Services office for a period of 3 months and if uncollected after this time, the remains will be scattered in the crematorium grounds, and the plaque disposed of)
- Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council does not accept responsibility for damage to vaults or plaques caused by weather conditions, fair wear and tear or vandalism (cleaning should be carried out with a damp cloth only)
- please inform Bereavement Services of any change of address - if the person leasing the vault should die, Bereavement Services can assist with the transfer of the lease to another family member

Memorial wall plaques
Terms and conditions
Our terms and conditions for memorial wall plaques are:
- all plaques are supplied in polished black granite
- all inscriptions must be approved by the Cemeteries and Crematorium Unit Manager
- prices include plaque, inscription, a lease period of 10 years, VAT, delivery and fixing
- the positioning and selection of plaques will be on a strict 'next in line' basis
- delivery of a plaque will take place between 2 and 3 weeks from receipt of the approved layout design
- the 10 year lease will commence from the date on which the plaque is fixed to the wall
- the Memorial Wall and Gardens will be maintained by the Council
- floral bouquet holders at the base of the wall are provided for the placement of flowers (flowers, plants, photos, mementos or any other items may not be placed on the wall or ledge and will be removed without prior notice)
- leaseholders will receive a renewal invitation, three months before the lease expiry date (if the lease is not renewed by the expiry date, the plaque will be removed and made available for collection from the Bereavement Services office for a period of 3 months, after which time it will be disposed of)
