Flooding

We are the Lead Local Flood Authority in the area and we have duties and responsibilities relating to flooding from local sources which include ordinary watercourses, surface water and groundwater.

The Land Drainage Act 1991 requires anyone undertaking work on an ordinary watercourse to apply for consent from the Local Authority. Contact us at LLFA@stockton.gov.uk to apply. 

    Flood Risk Asset Register

    A register of structures and features which are likely to have a significant effect on flood risk within their area, as required by the Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
