Ingleby Barwick John Walker's Walk, The Rings, family walk instructions

Starting at the local shops off Bancroft Drive, turn left on to Bancroft Drive then right onto The Rings and cross over the road. Follow The Rings around as you pass the Rings Community Hub on the right.

Turn left onto Pennydarren Way and follow the road around to the right onto Stanegate Avenue and through the estate. At the end of the road turn left onto Pennal Grove. As the road curves to the left, cross the road and turn right at White House Farm and then right again onto the path that leads behind the houses.

Follow this path with the fields on your left. Continue straight past the houses overlooking the wonderful view and turn right at the end.

Keep left as you drop down the windy path and over the footbridge. Keep to the left and follow the path up the slight incline with the fields and farm on your left. Continue straight crossing Galava Walk, taking in the impressive houses that line the path.

Turn right onto Hadrian Way and follow until you near the junction with The Rings. Head to the left between the houses and the greenspace then turn left onto Lullingstone Crescent.

Shortly you will arrive at Condercum Green. Diagonally cross the green and exit by the path between the houses. Head straight until you rejoin Lullingstone Crescent.

Follow this road as it curves right around the estate, passing the golf club, eventually joining back up with The Rings. Cross over the road and turn right. Here you will pass the gold postbox to celebrate Katherine Copeland, a Gold Medal winner from the 2012 Olympic Games.

Continue on The Rings as it curves around until you get to Hazeldene Park. Turn left onto the path before the Community Centre. Take a right into the housing estate and follow the road until you arrive back at the shops on Bancroft Drive.
